各位親愛的家長及同學：

Dear parents and students,

二月二日（星期五）是學校舉行一年一度的中華文化日，為配合本年度的跨課程閱讀周而特別安排在最後一天作總結。當天除了課堂活動外，還有各種精彩的表演，例如功夫和四川變臉，同學們都非常喜歡。在禮堂設置了攤位遊戲，操場上則有一個集古村，讓同學們更深入了解中國文化，大家都很興奮地參與古代遊戲並穿著古裝拍照留念。今年最令我激動的是家長為學生們準備了一些賀年食品，分派給學生們享用，這些美食在一下子就被大家吃光了。由於大部分的糕點都是家長親手製作的，我也品嚐了一些蘿蔔糕，非常美味。我衷心感謝家長們無私的貢獻！

On Friday, 2nd February 2024 our school held the annual Chinese Culture Day, which was scheduled as the concluding event for this year's Reading across the Curriculum (RaC) Week. In addition to classroom activities, there were various exciting performances such as kung fu and Sichuan face-changing, which the students really enjoyed. We set up game booths in the school hall and a cultural village on the playground to provide a deeper understanding of Chinese culture. Everyone was thrilled to participate in traditional games and take photos in traditional costumes. What excited me the most this year was that parents prepared festive food for the students to enjoy, and all the delicious treats were quickly devoured. Most of the pastries were handmade by parents, and I also had the chance to taste some radish cake, which was absolutely delicious. I sincerely thank the parents for their selfless contributions!

二月三日（星期六），我們得到了一些門票，去香港大球場觀賞國際邁阿密CF足球隊的公開訓練，不僅學生們，老師們也都非常興奮，這樣的機會實在難得。同學們回來告訴我，入場及離場也分別花了兩小時，整個球場差不多滿座，可算座無虛座。當有名的球員上場或做一些動作，全場的人都發出讚嘆的聲音，加上回音，真的感受到大家熱愛足球的熱情。

On Saturday, 3rd February 2024 we were fortunate to receive some tickets to watch the separate training session of the International Miami CF soccer team at Hong Kong Stadium. Both the students and teachers were very excited about this rare opportunity. Classmates came back and told me that it took two hours for people to enter and exit the venue respectively. The entire stadium was almost filled, with not a single empty seat. Whenever a famous player stepped onto the field or made a move, the entire crowd would erupt in awe, and with the echo, you could truly feel everyone's passion for football.

學生的學校生活質量非常重要，故學校也需要正時進行有效的自我檢討。今年學校的發展計劃進入了第三年，所以我們安排在二月七日（星期三）上午舉行自評會議，審視各方面的發展，並使用質性和量性的數據作為證明。然後，我們將會計劃新的一個周期的學校發展。整個過程非常順利，加上老師們的投入，所以進展非常順利。

While the quality of student school life is important, the school also needs to conduct timely and effective self-evaluation. This year, as we entered the third year of our school development plan, we scheduled a self-evaluation meeting on the morning of Wednesday, 7th February 2024 to review various aspects of our progress and use qualitative and quantitative data as evidence. We will then plan for the next cycle of school development. The entire process went smoothly, and with the dedication of the teachers, we made significant progress.

在自評會議結束後的下午，我們進行了一個教師健康工作坊，主題是「按」部就Fit-上班族按穴療法。一位中醫保健推拿專家分享了有趣且有效的知識，並現場進行了多項示範，為老師們按摩穴位。老師們非常投入，彼此分享著感受，大家都表示這個工作坊非常出色，讓他們度過了一個愉快且療愈的下午。

In the afternoon after the self-evaluation meeting, we had a teacher wellness workshop with the theme "Fit with Acupressure for Office Workers." A traditional Chinese medicine practitioner shared interesting and effective knowledge and conducted on-site demonstrations of acupressure for the teachers. The teachers were fully engaged and shared their experiences, expressing that the workshop was excellent and provided them with a pleasant and healing afternoon.

假期後的第一天，為使學生了解垃圾徵費所以為本校學生安排講座，讓他們了解垃圾分類，環保及垃圾徵費的機制，好讓他們可以與家長分享。

On the first day after the holiday, we arranged a talk for the students to learn about waste charging, waste classification, environmental protection, and the mechanism of waste charging, so that they could share the knowledge with their parents.

二月二十一日（星期三）是世界龍岡學校的新春團拜活動，我們中、小、幼三個部門一起在劉皇發中學舉行了這一活動。活動中包括了各校的表演以及大家一起分享茶點，這是一個難得的機會，讓大家可以聚在一起聯誼。感謝一些老師上台表演，他們的表演非常精彩。

On Wednesday, 21st February 2024 the World Lung Kong School held a Lunar New Year gathering event, where the primary, secondary, and kindergarten schools came together at Lau Wong Fat Secondary School. The event included performances from various schools and everyone sharing refreshments. It was a rare opportunity for everyone to come together and socialize. I would like to express my gratitude to the teachers who performed on stage which were fantastic.

二月二十五日（星期日），劉翠茵主任出席了2024全港傑出學校遊學團的嘉許禮，我們得到了2024全港傑出學校遊學團的嘉許。感謝鍾世傑老師參加並設計了這次的行程。

On Sunday, 25th February 2024 the senior teacher Ms. Lau Chui Yan attended the commendation ceremony of the Outstanding School Study Tour in Hong Kong 2024. We were honored to receive the commendation for the Outstanding School Study Tour in Hong Kong 2024. I would like to thank Mr. Chung Sai Kit for participating and designing the itinerary for the tour.

二月二十八日至三月一日為六年級教育營，今年，我們為即將畢業的學生做了一個特別的安排，將教育營的地點設在了香港大嶼山的基督教女青年會梁紹榮度假村。這個教育營每年都舉辦，旨在讓六年級的學生在畢業前有機會與老師和同學們共度時光，同時提升他們的自理能力、人際交往和合作能力等。在這個美麗的環境中，學生們渡過了愉快的時光，我們為他們安排了多種活動。最後大家也懷着依依不捨的心情，完成這三日的教育營，祝願各位同學前途光明。

From February 28th February 2024 to 1st March 2024, we had the P.6 education camp. This year, we made special arrangements for the camp, selecting the HKYWC Sydney Leong Holiday Lodge on Lantau Island as the venue. This annual education camp aims to give P.6 students the opportunity to spend time with teachers and classmates before graduation while enhancing their self-care, interpersonal communication, and teamwork skills. The students had a great time in this beautiful environment, and we arranged various activities for them. In the end, everyone reluctantly completed the three-day camp, and we wish all the students a bright future.

下學期正式開始，當中也多了不少的新同學，祝願他們適應新環境，大家學習進步。這是部分下學期加入的插班生，歡迎大家加入LTY這大家庭。

The new term has officially begun, and numbers of new classmates start studying at LTY. I wish them all the best in adapting to the new environment and may we all make progress in our studies. They are new transfer student who have joined us in the second semester. Welcome everyone to the LTY family.
